NZXT Phantom Superleggera by MilOk
Project Log: Here
NZXT's
Phantom case is certainly one of our favourites, and it's quickly becoming popular in modding circles, with forum user MilOk choosing it as the basis of his NZXT Phantom Superleggera project. MilOk only joined our forum in December but we were instantly interested in his project log, which, despite a lack of words, was otherwise well documented with plenty of photos.
The side panel was the first part of the case to go under the Dremel. MilOk spent the next few updates working on a large duct for it, which has a design that's clearly derived from the project's theme - the Lamborghini Superleggrea.
The duct was attached to the panel, along with some filler, and MilOk then sanded the two objects to blend them into one seamless whole. Other components were also removed at this point, which received a coat of pure white paint.
The finished side panel looks brilliant, looking as if the Phantom came with it at the beginning. A hint of what's to come is also evident in the picture above on the right, with a large extension frame that clearly suggests an interesting cooling system.
We found out just what MilOk has planned in a more recent update, with a large triple 120mm-fan radiator sitting neatly inside the extension frame. In the most recent update, we also got the first view of the Phantom sitting on the frame - clearly a sign of what's to come.
We don't recommend missing anything in MilOk's project log, so make sure you check it out on a regular basis. Plus, if this is your favourite of this month's mods, then head over to our
forums to vote for it.
